Shelbi Nicole’s signature whimsical style is so representative of the joy and freedom riding a bike means for many people. Art draws you in, which is exactly what Shelbi’s design does. When you drive by GreenStreet, you’ll be intrigued by the beautiful colors on the BCycle station. But on a bike, you can get caught up in the cute swirls, polka dots and flowers of the design. The world seems brighter on a bike. This Art Station was created in partnership with Houston BCycle, GreenStreet, and Midway Creative Group.
The FIFA World Cup™ is the most prestigious and popular sporting event in the world, and it is coming to North America in 2026. Houston is bidding to be one of the 16 host cities of the 2026 FIFA World Cup through the Houston 2026 World Cup Bid Committee, Houston has coordinated anorganized, impressive, community approach and strategyto the bid. Through the Art of Soccer Campaign, Houston businesses can show their support of the Houston 2026 World Cup Bid Committee by financially backing the bid and demonstrating our community’s enthusiasmfor being a host city. Like the Houston Livestock & Rodeo Boot Art Contest, this campaign includes three-foot painted soccer balls. Participants can decorate the soccer balls however they like and display their soccer balls at their place of businessduring the campaign or choose to tour around the city to be collectively displayed in high-traffic areas around Houston. GreenStreet’s Lobby has been selected as a display location, and currently have more than 15 balls on display for the public to see.
Houston Sport’s Authority and GreenStreet unveiled it’s newest art addition in September of 2022. The mosaic fountain downtown near the House of Blues depicts the HCHSA Hall of Fame honorees in thousands of small tiles pieced together. Artist, Opie Otterstead worked on the piece many months before the unveiling ensuring every detail on each athlete represented on the fountain was perfected. The unveiling event brought together some of Houston’s iconic hall of famers, like Geroge Foreman, Clyde Drexler, and more just to see their faces on the fountain.
You can visit the fountain on your next trip to GreenStreet, right outside of House of Blues and the future Tom’s Watch Bar space!
“Hope for a greener future” is a mural that pays tribute to “affordable and clean energy.” As the 4th largest city in the United States, Houston uses a lot of power. This mural represents Houston’s dedication to alternate energy sources, and Houston commitment to move beyond fossil fuel to renewable energies. In fact, the City of Houston annually purchases more renewable energy than any other American municipality. You can hear Mayor Turner tell you more in the app Behind The Wall. This mural, created by artist Carlos Alberto and curated by Street Art for Mankind (SAM), is an ode to Houston’s flourishing ecosystems, reflecting the importance of Green Energies and their crucial role in the creation of a sustainable future in which technology works in harmony with nature. This vision includes solar panels, windmills, and modern hydroelectric wheel – thanks to this technology, clean energy and nature coexist and thrive.
You can visit this mural on the corner of Dallas and Fannin St near McCormick & Schmicks! The Greenstreet mural will come to life in actual augmented reality by the end of 2022. This outdoor museum comes to life with the app Behind The Wall, as people, with a simple scan of the mural or its picture, will have the opportunity to learn more about the inspiration behind each mural starting October 15th, 2022.
Virginia Fleck has conceived a series of three reflective, infinity shapes to be placed on the rotating art wall at GreenStreet. They imagine these shapes to be floating in a field of stars on a painted midnight blue wall, which create a mirror encounter that fractures the reflection of the self to encompass the sky, the changing light, and the larger landscape of nearby buildings, people and architecture with all of its idiosyncratic qualities. This piece is located in between Main St and Fannin St. at GreenStreet and is open to the public!

About the Artist:
Ange Hillz is a seasoned celebrity artist currently living in the Houston area. Ange has been painting for the majority of his life, his ability to convey his emotions and thoughts through the use of paint and a canvas is impeccable. He has worked with Jada Pinkett Smith, Dwayne Wade, James Harden, Anthony Davis, TOYOTA, HBO, Discovery Green, NFL, NBA, ABC Nightline, and so on. One of his biggest accomplishments was in 2021 when his artwork was featured on the cover of TIME Magazine.

GreenStreet is home to the Houston Sports Walk of Fame. Stretching from House of Blues through the promenade, are a collection of plaques honoring local athletes, including Hakeem Olajuwon, Earl Campbell, AJ Foyt, Nolan Ryan, and many more to come.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, GreenStreet commissioned local artist, Donkeeboy, to create a one-of-a-kind, out of this world astronaut mural on the second level skybridge connected to the parking garage.

GreenStreet Cinema previews will begin at 8 PM, with the movie beginning at 8:30 PM to allow plenty of time for guests to find their seats and order to-go snacks or dinner from McCormick & Schmicks.

This October GreenStreet and Life Time come together to present Wellfest, a day full of shopping for sustainable wellness products, eating clean, and discovering approachable workout classes at Lifetime including yoga, cycle, GTX, Pilates, and more. Led by local instructors at Life Time and focused on bringing the community together through movement and wellness, Wellfest is open to anyone on any fitness journey. Enjoy a live DJ, over 4 sample workout classes, multiple wellness vendors, and on-site dining!
Workouts will be in 15-minute intervals giving you a taste of what Life Time has to offer followed by a wellness vendor market on The Lawn. Your ticket gets you access to all the classes, a free water bottle and more.

Presenting: Southern Glory, a collaborative gallery exhibition featuring over 20 local and globally recognized artists and organizations. The exhibition Opens Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 11am and runs through March 31, 2023, located at 1201 Main Street Suite 101 Houston, TX 77002

The Southern Glory exhibition was curated by Emmanuel Alia of Prauper Studios with Isaac Yowman of IYO Visuals, to support and pay tribute to IYO Visuals documentary film, Memory Builds the Monument. The film premiered as an Official Selection at SXSW, won nearly a dozen film festivals globally and was recently acquired by Paramount. Compelled by vivid memories of the legendary Club Matinee by Houston’s elders, Memory Builds the Monument is an artist-led project to document the rich history of the Greater Fifth Ward and highlighted the cultural and social strengths and challenges of African American Houstonians in the 1940s, 50s and 60s. The IYO Collective partnered with the Fifth Ward CRC and SOURCE Studio to create the film through their film/TV production company, IYO Visuals.
Southern Glory will be on view February 5, 2023, through March 31, 2023, and will include works that support the film’s storyline. Featured artists and organizations include:

Join Life Time GreenStreet for Ride of A LifeTime on April 29th! This is a unique chance to cycle with one of Life Time’s instructors outside on the rotunda with a view of downtown! This isn’t your average cycle class, we are bringing the bikes outside, pumping up the music, and coming together to cycle for a purpose! When you sign up for one of the classes all contributions will benefit our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital and Life Time Foundation, two organizations united in the belief that when we change kids’ health we change the future.
