Local Fashion Trucks Find a Home at GreenStreet in Downtown Houston
HOUSTON, TEXAS (April 3, 2014) – Whether you’re shopping for a last-minute gift or just needing a great pair of shoes for a night out on the town, GreenStreet has you covered literally from head to toe! In addition to offering some of the latest fashion finds from national retailers such as Forever XXI and BCBGMAXAZRIA, the downtown shopping and entertainment destination will now feature a variety of custom and specialty fashion items from mobile style mavens Basiques, Shoe Bar and Park Boutique. The fashion trucks will be parked onsite along the front entrance of ForeverXXI, just off of Main between Dallas and Polk, beginning on Wednesday, April 9 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Afterwards, GreenStreet will feature a different boutique on wheels every day, Wednesday through Friday.
“GreenStreet is always looking to elevate the experience of our visitors and shoppers,” says GreenStreet marketing coordinator Courtney Ray. “The addition of these fashion trucks is a great complement to what we currently offer and we encourage everyone to stop by on their lunch break and enjoy a fun and unique shopping experience in downtown.”
The fun begins on Wednesdays with Basiques, a timeless clothing collection based on the simplicity of French fashion. After eight years as a brick-and-mortar establishment in Uptown Park, Basiques has transitioned to a mobile fitting room to give patrons a more personal experience. With sizes ranging from petite to size 16, fashionistas will be drawn to the truck’s wide selection of chic and elegant wardrobe staples! Catch Basiques every Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Adding to the fashion mix will be Shoe Bar – a heels-on-wheels fashion concept touting an impressive array of the finest footwear. Collections include pieces from Kristin Cavallari Chinese Laundry, BCBGeneration, and Monserat de Lucca, just to name a few! No wardrobe is ever complete without the perfect pair of shoes, so be sure to trot into Shoe Bar every Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
If your fashion mission is to find a great runway piece that doesn’t break the bank, come visit Park Boutique – a mobile store on wheels featuring affordable runway fashions. With everything from a classic pump to an Art Deco-inspired dress, there’s not much this fashion retailer won’t have! Grab your girlfriends and come indulge your style cravings every Friday, from 11 a.m. 2 p.m.
